Oxalic Acid Sublimation

Bee-yard updates

May 15, 2019. This morning all three hives were treated with oxalic acid for varroa control, method: sublimation,  a first time process for Domoneko apiary. (In the apiary’s first year, 2018, Integrated pest management was not practiced and I paid the price and lost all hives. Unfortunately hive mismanagement doesn’t just impact your apiary – but can also affect those around you. Manage your hives.) Nothing like a steep learning curve ! Read my notes, the label, set out the equipment, safety equipment, re-read all….

The plant mentioned in beeyard inventory is Common bluebeard, Caryopteris, incana. Pictured.
